Our Community Services Building now offers the following programs for any client or community member: Cocaine Anonymous (Mondays at noon), Alcoholics Anonymous (Mondays at 8:00pm), VOICES CRF Support Group (Tuesdays at 6:00pm), Narcotics Anonymous (Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:00), and the Community Empowerment Hour Life Skills Group (Thursdays at 6:00).

There is also an onsite physician, psychologist, and staff member from the Canadian Mental Health Association, using this building on a weekly basis.

We are proud to announce our newest support group, VOICES. This support group reaches the unrecognized victims of crime - the families of offenders, by providing a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment for women to share their thoughts, feelings and struggles of having an incarcerated loved one and to be source of support, encouragement and hope to one another. Click here for more information.

Cornerstone is pleased to expand our Housing First program, with the support from additional Community Homelessness Prevention Initiative (CHPI) funding. Through the expansion of our Community Outreach Program, we can now support more individuals who are chronically and episodically homeless in Durham Region, on their path from homelessness to home.

Recognizing the difficult yet ever increasing trend of homeless seniors in the area, Cornerstone is pleased to offer a new program. Our Support for Homeless Seniors program was officially launched in March of 2017, and is designed to assist seniors who have physical and mental health challenges that cannot be supported in our shelter program. Individuals are linked with a Personal Support Worker, a Housing Casemanager, and Meals on Wheels during their temporary stay with us.

Just a sample of last year's harvest from our Community Garden! We can't wait to get at it again!
